The ThinLine Western Half Pad is ¼ inch thick and is designed as an economical pad that only covers the weight-bearing surface of the Western saddle. It is recommended for horses in high impact situations, such barrel racing, roping or other gaming activities, horses with sensitive backs, young horses, beginning riders, or horses spending long hours in the saddle like endurance, trail, or working horses. This pad should be used with a light cotton, sheepskin, or Navajo pad underneath it to protect the saddle from dirt and provide ultimate comfort.
