The ThinLine Half Pad is designed as an economical pad that covers the weight-bearing surface of the English saddle. The half pad will aid a great deal in front back saddle slip and provide exceptional comfort for the horse. This is a GREAT ThinLine starter pad! If you have left right slip problems or if you spend alot of time in jumping position we recommed you try a pad with longer skirts; e.g. the contour.
ThinLine pads are 1/4'' and are designed for horses in high impact situations, such as jumping, cross country and polo, horses with sensitive backs, young horses, beginning riders, and horses spending long hours under saddle, such as endurance or working horses. ThinLine pads can be used alone (will not pull or pinch across the spine or wither), on top of your regular pad underneath your saddle, or underneath your regular pad directly on the horse's back.
This pad measures 17.5 inches wide from flap to flap, 21 inches long from flap to back, and 14.125 inches across the seat. If your saddle is 18" or larger, please choose the Contour or Endurance pad.
