Skito Equalizer® Saddle Pad (click) to create a bareback pad that is set apart from any other bareback pad on the market today!
Features
This is no ordinary bareback pad! These beautifully crafted bareback pads feature:
- foam inserts which create a channel along your horse's spine, and cushion your horse's back from rider weight.
- a unique "tacky" seat for the ultimate bareback grip
- a sturdy handhold in the front
- front and rear stainless steel D-rings for breastplate and crupper attachment!
- English-style billets
You may select a 100% wool dressage-type girth with stainless steel hardware to add to your bareback pad order (see options below), or you may choose to use your own standard dressage girth! The traditional English billets and girth provide added rider safety compared to standard bareback pads that often have weak or faulty buckles.
Materials & Construction
Plush 100% wool fleece cozies up against your horse, wicking moisture from his haircoat, while Skito's Equalizer® foam inserts, sandwiched between the top and bottom fabrics, cushion your tush and your horse's back! The amazing Equalizer® open-cell foam is captured in pockets on both sides of the pad, creating a channel to protect your horse's spine. The insert pockets are sealed securely with heavy-duty Velcro closure at the back edge of the pad for easy access.
The Bum Buddy measures 25 inches front to back and 38 inches flap to flap.
A snap to clean! Just pull the foam inserts from the Velcro closure, toss the cover in the washer with a little horse shampoo or Woolite, then air dry! The wool fleece comes out looking like new even after being encrusted with grime and sweat. The open-cell equalizer foam may be cleaned with cool water and vinegar.
