Toklat's Woolback pads, made of 100% virgin wool fleece, are specifically designed to stand up to the harsh rigors of everyday riding. The extra heavy, machine washable wool pile fabric provides the ultimate protection for your horse's back. It is superb for long hours of heavy riding when all the advantages of natural wool are so important. All Toklat Woolback pads are easy to clean. For the best results, brush the wool fleece with a dog grooming "slicker" bursh before washing and after your pad is dry. Just machine wash on a gentle cycle using a mild detergent such as Woolite and tumble dry on a low heat or hang to air-dry.
These pads come with Toklat's UltraCell foam inserts (removable for washing). UltraCell orthopedic foam is a high density open cell elastomeric foam that features controlled release air cell technology. Medically tested and proven. Its conforming slow air release design provides exceptional high energy impact absorption and uniform weight and pressure distribution with virtually no rebound or bounce effect. It is heat sensitive and will conform to your horse's back and the saddle as it warms up. It is ideally suited for use in saddle pads to protect the horses from the rigorous demands of performance horseback riding.
These pads can be used with treed or treeless saddles. The Treeless pads have front velcro openings. If you opt for the high wither profile, the velcro openings will be on the spine for all saddle types. Styles include: English Saddle: close contact, all purpose, event, dressage, cut back/lane fox, and endurance. Western saddles: barrel, square, Tucker, and Endurance. Other styles: Australian, treeless Sports Saddle, and custom sizes/styles. For custom sizes, measure you current well fitting saddle pad, or follow THESE instructions.
Note: Toklat considers each saddle pad a custom order; therefore, the saddle pads are not returnable. Please double check the style and size before placing your order. Please allow 3-4 weeks for Toklat saddle pads to arrive. Due to the cost of shipping by priority mail has increased greatly, the pads will be shipped by UPS Ground unless the customer request another method. Most will add extra shipping charges.
